Superfoods for a better immunity

There have been a few of my gym crew sick recently, so there definitely is something going around, and not just the Spicy Flu! So I think having a look at how we can boost, or at least support our immune system becomes a top priority. I mean, we want to enjoy the festive season in good health! The good news? There are a couple of things within our control that can make a significant difference.

Enter "superfoods.” These nutritional powerhouses, rich in vitamins B, C, D, zinc, and selenium, fuel your body’s immune response.

And let's not forget, it's not just about COVID. It’s about all those colds and flus that travel about the community, and your body needs the right building blocks for defence.

Variety is key in nutrition. Building a strong immune system requires "harmonious interactions" among different micronutrients. Set a goal to include a variety of colourful fruit and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy oils (think seafood, olive and avocado) in your daily menu.

And here's an extra immunity tip: exercise. A strong and resilient body means your immune system won't have to work overtime to fend off invaders.
